Going to a music festival and letting everything loose during the Summertime is something everyone should do at least once in a lifetime. There’s no better festival to experience than Tomorrowland if you like dance music and foreign cultures. People from all over the world travel to Boom, a small town in Belgium near Antwerp, to experience one of the biggest dance festivals worldwide.
But what makes Tomorrowland so different?
First of all it’s huge! 14 stages can be found on the 39 000m² festival ground. There are countless food & drinks stalls and Dreamville, the camping ground (25 000 m²) even offers luxurious lodges and a mansion! Because it attracts people from all over the world (around 112 different nationalities), even special Tomorrowland flights (Global Journey Package) can be booked to get there!
Perfection is an understatement to describe the Tomorrowland decors. It looks like an amusement park for adults with colorful fairylike decorated stages, pathways, bridges, a fairywheel … There’s a small lake with fountains and every stage has its own theme. The main stage of course is the biggest and most impressive one with waterfalls, fountains, moving elements and dressed up dancers to make it complete. Every year the stages grow and look different.
The organization is fantastic with attention for safety, good service and quality. Tickets are delivered in amazing treasure boxes, for every direction there’s a different path to avoid people bumping into each other,… they even offer free plastic rain coats in case the weather turns bad (and in Belgium that chance is pretty big). The food is great and if you’re sick of eating junk food, you can enjoy a delicious meal of one of the Belgian master chefs (Wout Bru, Roger van Damme or Dominique Persoons) at a restaurant designed for the Tomorrowland grounds!
The Tomorrowland acts are the biggest DJ’s worldwide. Around 473 in total. And the final act is always delivered in style with spectacular fireworks and laser shows.
But the best thing about this festival is the people. People from all over the world often wearing their national flag to show where they’re from and meet with other nationalities. There are no wars or political issues at Tomorrowland. Only people who share the same interests; spreading the love, happiness, making new friends, having fun and of course: dance music. All visitors (60 000 per day) become one at the 3-day festival, dancing together and having the time of their life. Everyone is happy and is simply enjoying themselves.
If you love to join the people of Tomorrowland this year you can buy your tickets at the worldwide ticket sale on www.tomorrowland.com.
I’m going to try to get tickets tomorrow at the Belgian ticket sale. Which won’t be easy. Every year it’s a struggle because thousands of people are trying to get tickets all at once. Chances are it will be sold out before I’ll even get access to the website. Last time I got the chance going there was 2011. So let’s hope I’ll finally get in this year again!
