Casa de Pilatos was the first place I visited after my arrival in Sevilla and it bedazzled me immediately. I was already in awe after visiting the Real Alcazar two years ago, but never did I imagine to stumble upon more of these architectural pearls in Sevilla. I was already intrigued by the Mudejar style, so I wanted to capture photos of Casa de Pilatos and all the other buildings and rooms in this style. Not only as an inspiration for decorating my place, but also to inspire others to go there!
Since it’s impossible to share all my photos in my more detailed posts, I decided to create photo galleries. This way I can share more pictures and inspire you even more to travel these places as well!
This gallery will show you around the Casa de Pilatos, of which its architecture is the perfect blend of Italian Renaissance, Mudejar (Spanish-Islamic) and Gothic styles. You’ll be able to admire its main courtyard surrounded by a gorgeous decorated gallery, its impressive rooms, dreamy gardens and finally also the staircase, which is called “Sevilla’s first and most magnificent staircase”. Enjoy all the azulejo tilework, the yesería* carvings in the arches and the magnificent ceilings! I’m sure you’re ready to pack your bags as soon as you finished this gallery!
