Thjófafoss is a waterfall in the Southeast of Iceland that I never encountered in any travel guide. So how did I find it? Those who read my e-book “How to plan your trip” know that I use a certain app to plan all my trips and itineraries. This app (I keep it a secret only shared with those who read my e-book 🙂 ) shows all waterfalls, places of interest, hiking routes,… everything that I find interesting to discover while traveling.
One day at Bohinj Lake, Slovenia
The Bohinj Lake at Slovenia is the prettiest lake of Slovenia, completely surrounded by snow capped mountains, a few cute villages and not overrun (yet) by tourists. I stayed here for 2 nights and if it hadn’t rained the complete first day I probably would’ve done way more like paragliding and taking the cable car to the top of Mount Vogel. But the second day it was sunny and warm so I could really enjoy the beauty of the lake’s surroundings. This is what I suggest to do when you can only spend one day at Bohinj Lake!
Azores road trip, discover Sao Miguel in 3 days (incl. itinerary)

They are a true paradise on earth and they’re not called the Hawaii of Europe for nothing. Oh, and a fun fact; there are more cows than humans.

That picture bedazzled me so much that I got more and more curious about what this tiny island had to offer. And boy, was I amazed by what I found!
The most beautiful places you must see in Flores, Azores
Flores is my absolute favorite from the three Azorean islands I visited. As soon as I spotted the first rock formations, caves and waterfalls at the coastline, while the plane was descending, I fell in love. I instantly knew this island would be absolute paradise and it was…

I could probably name a hundred reasons why you should travel to the Azores. The Azores are nine volcanic islands situated in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. Because they are so remote, mass tourism is non existent and nature is…
